Moving bed heat exchangers (MBHE)s are used in industrial applications including waste recovery and the drying of solids. As a result, energy balance models have been developed to simulate transfer between moving gas phase. Within these models, phase change components within has not considered as liquefaction or desublimation does occur typical applications. However, available for cryogenic CO2 capture (CCC) only focused on fixed packed beds. The development suitable model predict duties MBHEs that include would be beneficial CCC This work investigated design columns involve into frost, using existing fixed-bed capture. were evaluated by comparison with experimental simulated data, predicted duty requirements flow rates from suggested maintain thermal equilibrium. comparisons showed consistent prediction various methods closely align data. Comparisons rate predictions cases an oil-fired boiler, combined cycle turbine (CCGT) biogas upgrading proximity 0.1%, 20.8%, 3.4%, respectively, derived results compared 1.1%, 1.1% 0.6% % v/v concentrations 18%, 8% 4%.
